What I have done so far with logo ideas:
Went through the process of creating a circular icon that depicts the connection of major cities. The others in the group said they liked the look of it.
I've also started to incorporate colour and trying to see what works best - we all agreed that at least the use of blue would be a good idea, as its clean and fresh.
I created a vector of a tube - the Hyperloop is essentially in a tube, after all. I experimented with different structures and weights, trying to find one that would work in the form of an icon.
I have delved into typefaces - Biko and Droschke Halbfett are ideal sans serif typefaces, and OCR A Std, Orate Std and Clarke are very modern, technical and futuristic.
I pointed these out to the others who agreed that these kind of types are appropriate.
(Above the tubes) I also created super simplified logo shapes, that depict travel and connection. However, they look too similar to train symbols.

Today we also discussed through our ideas for a ticket or something to scan, as Johnathan has an idea for a square shaped ticket that is a thin outline with a hollow inside. I disagreed that this would be the best design for it, as would it not get bent out of shape or be too flimsy?
We originally wanted to laser cut some shapes for this for the crit, but we thought it best to just talk through it at this stage.
(In the first image on this post) I thought of some smaller designs for a virtual ticket, like a small keyring style card that can hook onto keys, or attach to a phone case, or just sit in the wallet. As a group we talked this through and agreed that it would be useful to the customer.
