The crit itself was really helpful and all of us gained motivation from it. The guys had a lot to offer and we came out feeling a lot more driven with a clearer concept laid out for us.
- They said to focus on the idea of DESTINATION - as with Hyperloop it should be about the places rather than the travel itself, as its very quick and low cost.
- focusing on destination, we could create some vector images on posters of the cities.
- Johnny wanted to bring a retro feel to it, which they associated with glamour, which wouldn't really fit in with Hyperloop as its a very cheap alternative to other existing modes of transport.
- the slogan 'Travel sound' isn't clear enough and doesn't quite work in their opinion. A little too gimmicky.
- they really liked the idea of the marketing behind it - such as deals like 'hypergroup' and 'cyberloop' (group discount, free wifi)
- don't use lines and dots that symbolise connection - its been overdone.
- the idea of a bird in a logo could work - just one more developed and different from our already existing one from Helen
- for the final presentation, we need to show how well we've divided work between us and how we've worked together - we need to all chime in.
- we gathered that from their feedback we need to not focus so much on the logo as its more than that, it needs to be something simple and focus more on the applications.
We left the crit and immediately sat down and discussed it, and also talked about what we each need to do before we meet again on friday.
Vanessa and Helen: the marketing and the logo
